I took advantage of the Lunar New Year's vacation to take another trip to Ehime, Japan. These photos are from the first day we were there. We took a walk around the neighborhood and soaked up the rural atmosphere and clean air.
In retrospect, taking a photo of something as common as a crow seems silly, but I rarely see them in Tainan, so I was actually kind of excited to see one.
I thought that this scene was very typically Japanese.
Here's a shiitake mushroom. We picked some of these and ate them for dinner on this day.
Some sort of cute bird with an orange belly.
Though it wasn't particularly cold at low altitude, the mountains were still covered with snow. (The mountains in Ehime are pretty tall.)
A local Shinto Shrine.
More to come next time!
