Graduation Flowers/

Cheng Kung University had its graduation this past Saturday.  I was told that these trees, with their bright, red flowers, bloom every year around this time, making these flowers a symbol of the graduation season.  I looked the flower up by its Chinese name ("Phoenix Flower", pretty rad) and it appears to be called Delonix Regia, which is pretty boring.  Wikipedia also listed the vulgar names "Royal Poinciana" and "Flamboyant" which are much more interesting.  "Flamboyant"in particular is a pretty funny name for a flower.
